When one of the nations largest power cooperatives, planned to upgrade the chillers at their combined cycle power generating plant in Georgia they asked Black and Veatch to find a service company capable of handling a large project with a very tight timeline.
Flotech has a long history and experienced team that came highly recommended. 32,000 tubes within 16 condensers needed replacement as well as explosion cladding work required on the tube sheets. The tube repair work was challenging as the units arrived on a tight schedule and turnaround time for repair, code inspections and replacement within the plant required close coordination among the various organizations.

The work required code and quality inspections at various points throughout the job. In order to maintain the tight schedule, performing the work at the Flotech plant allowed for coordination with all the inspectors.
